I've tried to lessen the blow with frequent readings of Princess Bubble, the kids book from Susan Johnston and Kimberly Webb (with illustrations by Maria Tonelli) that follows the traditional fairy tale path . . . until it doesn't.

I have been looking for a book like this for 12 years. I never really liked all the princess things just because of that. Cinderalla 2 was a little better. My daughter is too big now but I have a niece that I would love to read this too.
So cute! I never wanted to be a princess when I was little because who wanted to wait around for a prince to do all the heavy lifting? I love that this book is about independence and confidence and bubbles!
I would love this book for my 3 and 4 year old daughters! This is the kind of fairy tale you want your kids set their life expectations on. Self importance and reliance, knowing that having their life is more important than giving into the trends friends follow, marriage included.

I have told my gals princesses can be powerful and successful and not weak..This looks like something fun to read, with independence and strength for princesses too
My daughter just started getting into books and this sounds like an adorable story!
after going through the princess nightmare three times already I would love to be able to read my fourth daughter a princess book that is not part of the disney machine and portrays girls in a more independent light, thanks for the chance to win!!
We love to read books in our family, and anything princess is a hit with my 2 (almost 3) year old little girl. It's so important to read with kids, and I'm glad mine love it!
I have this book and love it! But, don't think this is only for the little girls. I give it to everyone from baby showers to friends getting a divorce.

this seems like something my daughter would enjoy. i like that its not the typical fairy tale. more modern and kind of complicated in a way. But you dont need a prince to be happy and i like that message.

I've never heard of this book before, but it sounds really cool. I admit, my daugters are Disney Princess freaks. But I think they'd get a huge kick out of this book as well. I know I would!

I would love this book for my daughter. I want her to know that she can do whatever she sets her mind to in life and she does not need to dapend on anyone to do it for her. Sounds like a great book with a great message!

I think my daughter needs a copy because we have always called her our princess and she really thinks she is one! LOL! Her last name is Prince..so princess just fits!
