First Giveaway of '09, and It's Classy!

We're launching into 2009 with a giveaway that will keep your kids (and your house) cleaner . . . and maybe a little craftier?

The Vegas-based Classy Kid company has burst onto the kid product scene with a focus on germ defense and attempts to make "non-toxic" as green as can be.

They've scored in the Inside Out book with the Keep Me Coloring Placemats, the first set of disposable placemats for kids that are actually biodegradable. Packed in groups of 10 or 20 in convenient zip-packs, the Keep Me Coloring Placemats take the restaurant kid mats another step - the stick-em backing makes them mats that truly stay in place. So do the accompanying "CrayAngles," triangular crayons that come in every Classy Kid placemat pack and won't send you scrounging around on a grubby restaurant floor because they won't roll off the table.

For little artists who want to hang around the house, the Classy Kid Full Sleeve Art Smocks will keep their clothes paint free (which is almost more important than keeping THEM clean). Packed in bags of two - one of them, and one for a friend - the smocks can be thrown directly in the wash, making this a green kind of clean. The fabric itself is soft enough and light enough for little arms to keep moving around, but the full sleeve art smock make-up resists the paint, so it doesn't soak through to skin (or sweater). Sized for kids, the smocks have grow-with-me velcro closures, so they'll last through their scribble phase on into stick figures.

Want to win a pack of the Keep Me Coloring Placemats or a set of Full Sleeve Art Smocks? Check out the Classy Kid's full line of products at their site (and check out Amazon or Target to buy online or their zip-code finder for a store near you). Come back, tell us what you think is the best in the bunch for your family. Get extra entries by grabbing my badge and/or blogging about this contest and all (remember to leave the link in comments as well).

Open to U.S. and Canadian residents, the contest will close on January12, so remember to check back or subscribe at left to be notified right away. NEW SUBSCRIBERS for the month of January will all be entered to win a gift certificate to one of my favorite pajama shops - details coming later this week - so don't forget to subscribe at left.

I love the potty protectors! What a great idea. With a potty training toddler that would be perfect. I would use those and my own seat that we bring everywhere! And the full sleeve art smock would be perfect for my little artists.

I am addicted to hand sanitizers and I love that they have a bunch of fruity smelling sanitizers. They are great.

I really have my eye on those public potty protectors. My little one is just awful about touching the potty in public places and those would solve my problem!!

Thanks for the entry

I think the potty seat and the placemats are the best things. Having a little one makes you really see how dirty things are when you go out. Almost makes you want to eat in.

Disclaimer

I realized I had to add one of these because people let their minds run away with them sometimes. Wait, where was I?

The reviews I put up on this site are NOT paid for by any company. They come from my little ol' head. Some of the products I found myself - on the 'net, at the store, or from other moms. Some were sent my way by publicists. Usually they didn't fit the mold of another project I was working on, but I thought they were so cool I couldn't help sharing!

Advertising is accepted (anyone interested can send an e-mail for information), but it will not guarantee your product gets a positive review or any review at all.

As for what happens to the products I didn't care for - you'll never know! Because I won't write about them on here. So if you see it, I liked it. 'Nuff said!
